I have been training with Ken for over 3 years now, however over the past 14 months I’ve become much more serious and dedicated to my health & triathlon journey
In November 2021 I underwent Gastric Sleeve surgery to help with my many years of ongoing weight issues.
After a little time off I resumed back coaching with Ken in January and boy what a 12 months Ken & I have shared!
I have since lost over 35kg and maintaining a healthy weight range. We have worked hard getting my fitness and strength back as well as building endurance for my dream of completing Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie in May next year.

My husband and I started training at the altitude gym late last year to prepare ourselves for the Annapurna Base Camp trek in Nepal. Finally I have found the perfect training environment. Ken Kirk’s SplashFit program is helping me develop as an amateur athlete in an age appropriate manner, in a fun and friendly environment.

This aging weekend warrior had perfected the art of stumbling across race finish lines, happy with the mandatory finishers’ medal to provide me with just enough courage to enter the next race. My training and race preparation has always been devoid of any professional knowledge or sophistication (demonstrated by my race survival, as opposed to race performance).
